Biography:
Meanwood made a shock decision to appoint Aydan Fertug as Meanwood's new keeper following the departure of Bradley. Nobody knew who he was and and the Turkish import quickly gained a cult following. Aydan's peformances earned himself a permanent place in the Meanwood team despite Paul Mallian announcing that he wanted to return. In his prime he had a remarkable ability to reach across his goal and save the most goal-bound shots. He won two man of the match awards in a row and was regarded by his peers as a quality keeper.
However personal issues effected Aydan's peformances and he left the club in 2005. Despite this he leaves Meanwood with the club's best wishes and some memorable peformances.
