Biography: Daniel Woodward is now a vetran at 5-A-Side after being on the scene for many years.

Woody started off at Pools Wonders where he established himself a reputation as a strong and reliable defender who chipped in with the odd goal. When Wonders folded Woody wasn't out of action for long as Meanwood immeditley offered him a contract on the recommendation of his former Wonders teammate Gafa.

Woody is an uncompramising defender who posses an incredible amount of strength, second only to Bissitt. He is famous for his strong tackling and his shoulder barging. The powerful defender likes to make things difficult for the opposition and doesn't let people past him without a fight. Having Woody in defence makes a goalkeepers job a lot easier.

Woody also likes to drive forward with the ball and he does so with forceful runs. He sheilds the ball well which makes it difficult for people to tackle. Woody can be relied on to score and he holds the record for the most consecutive games scored in.

Unfortunatley things came to a frustrating halt for Woody when he dislocated his shoulder while following his rugby career. The injury made world wide news as he stared in the ITV documentry "Critical Condition". Woody has kept a low profile since his injury, although he did make a cameo appearance for a team called Sandon Shooters.

Woody will be determined to get back to his best and make up for lost time.
